Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Javna ustanova u kulturi Hrvatski dom Vukovar is committed to making https://hrvatskidomvukovar.hr accessible in accordance with the Croatian Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies (Official Gazette No. 17/19), which implements Directive (EU) 2016/2102.
This Accessibility Statement applies to both the Croatian and English versions of the public Hrvatski dom Vukovar website.
Compliance Status
Based on the self-assessment carried out, the website is partially compliant with the applicable accessibility requirements due to the limitations described below.
The self-assessment was not a complete formal WCAG audit and did not include an individual accessibility assessment of every historical document available for download.
Non-accessible Content and Known Limitations
Some images have alternative text that is overly general or not fully localised.
The Access to Information archive contains a large number of repeated “Download” links. A separate link containing the document title provides additional context, but the list of download links alone is not unambiguous in every case.
The archive contains a large collection of historical PDF and office documents. Some PDF documents examined during the assessment do not contain suitable document structure for assistive technologies, and reliable text extraction is not possible from some files.
The digital accessibility of every historical archive document has not been individually verified.
If a document or information is not available to you in a form you can use, you may contact us and request the information in a more accessible format.
Preparation and Assessment of this Statement
The self-assessment was carried out on 23 September 2026.
Representative Croatian and English pages were tested on desktop and mobile devices. The assessment included keyboard navigation, focus visibility and order, the skip-to-content link, primary landmarks and heading structure, document language, basic image and alternative-text use, responsive reflow, text enlargement and animated-content behaviour with reduced motion enabled.
No horizontal overflow was found in the representative sample at a width of 320 pixels.
A complete screen-reader assessment and comprehensive measurement of every colour and contrast combination were not performed.
Hrvatski dom Vukovar will continue to address identified accessibility issues as part of its regular website maintenance and content-editing process.
